A local bus runs hourly to Funchal, Caniço Village and other locations on the eastern side of the island. The bus stop is about 30m from the apartment.
Almost all the local hotels offer indoor [heated in winter], and outdoor swimming pools. Most have Jacuzzi, sauna and gymnasium, health and beauty centre, massages, beauty salon, spa treatments. All hotels offer a Happy hour 18.30 to 20.00 with nightly entertainment – outside guests are made most welcome.
